Safetech Environmental Limited (SEL) offers a wide variety of microbial-related services.  Our goal is to provide our clients with accurate, efficient and cost-effective services to assist them in maintaining a safe and healthy environment.  We have qualified staff whom possess the educational background (including Certified Industrial Hygienists (CIH) and Applied Microbial Remediation Specialists (AMRT)) coupled with years of extensive hands-on experience in assessment, remediation and testing for fungal contamination to provide the highest quality of service to our clients.  We follow current Assessment and remediation guidelines and use state-of-the-art assessment and sampling equipment and highly qualified, independent, analytical laboratories. Our professional experience allows us to offer our clients the best in microbial-related services, which includes the following:

• Mould Investigations & Assessments - SEL can identify and/or verify locations where mould contamination exists, using a wide variety of assessment and sampling methodologies. Based on our assessment we can then recommend appropriate remedial action based on our findings.

• Water Damage Assessments & Verification of Drying Procedures - SEL can assist our clients during catastrophic water damage events caused by major floods and leaks by assessing the full extent of water damage and providing recommendations for proper restoration of building materials.  SEL personnel can work hand in hand with professional water damage restoration contractors to ensure building materials are efficiently and adequately dried to prevent the onset of mould growth and subsequent costly remediation while documenting restoration conditions

• Development of Mould Remediation Programs - Appropriate remedial strategies must be implemented to ensure safe conditions for building personnel and remediation workers.  Activities that can be performed by SEL during the design stage include preparation of contract specifications and tender documents, site walkthroughs with pre-qualified remediation contractors and review of bid proposals.

• Site Inspection & Testing Activities - SEL personnel can provide inspection and testing services to document site conditions before, during, and after remediation activities.  Such activities include inspections for enclosure integrity, the adequacy of engineering controls and appropriate removal/cleanup activities.  Sampling (surface and air) can also be performed during remediation (to document that remediation activities are not negatively impacting on the quality of air in adjacent areas) and at the completion of remediation (to verify that the area has been properly cleaned and left free of any remaining mould contamination).

• Mould Management Programs - SEL can design a Mould Management Program (MMP) specific to our clients needs. Components of a comprehensive MMP include client and/or building-specific details on the roles and responsibilities for employees (such as building maintenance personnel) who are required to respond to or may come into contact with water-damaged or mould-contaminated building materials, including preventative maintenance procedures.  After the design stage SEL can help implement the MMP by ensuring that key personnel are aware of and understand their responsibilities outlined in the MMP so that the full benefits of such a program can be realized.

• Mould Awareness Presentations & Training Programs - SEL offers mould presentations and training courses designed to address the needs of maintenance personnel, health & safety managers, construction managers, building managers, remediation personnel and those interested in learning more about mould contamination in buildings.
